THE PROVERBS - LATEST CD - "RELEASE"

The Proverbs newest CD is titled "The Proverbs - Release" and features 12 great new tracks by Kathy, Dave & Karyl. As with most of the Proverbs recordings, this album features a variety of music styles, with the songs ranging between adult contemporary, southern gospel and new country and even includes a traditional bluegrass gospel standard. This project was also recorded and mastered at Summit Sound and takes the Proverbs in a slightly different musical direction, moving away from the totally new-country format of the group's previous two CDs to include fresh new cuts with an R&B feel complete with horn section, as well as several easy listening/adult contemporary songs. The variety does not end here as there are also a few tracks that fit the southern gospel format.

This recording also includes country (and even some bluegrass) gospel in keeping with the musical style of previous Proverbs releases, Too Legit To Quit and Doin' What We Said . A touching Christmas ballad completes this exceptional 12 song package.

"Release" is the Proverbs first new album project since Doin' What We Said" and features the tight vocal harmonies the Proverbs have become so well known for. This is the result of the return of Dave's sister Karyl, who have recently re-joined Kathy & Dave Daw in the group. Longtime Proverbs music lovers will remember "The Proverbs-Two Sides" which was the last project that featured this same configuration of the 3 current group members.
